Wallab Support

Need help with Wallab? This page explains how to contact support, what information to include, and how to

solve common setup and AR tracking issues.

Contact Support

For support, bug reports, privacy questions, or App Store review contact, email us at: privacy@wallab.art

We usually need a few details to understand what happened and reproduce the issue.

What to Include When Contacting Support

- Your iPhone model, for example iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 15, or iPhone SE.

- Your iOS version.

- The Wallab app version and build number, if available.

- Whether you were using LiDAR or the optical scanner mode.

- The lighting condition: good light, medium light, or low light.

- The type of wall: smooth, textured, painted, glossy, dirty, tiled, or uneven.

- A short description of the issue.

- Screenshots or a screen recording, if possible.

Quick Troubleshooting

1. Camera permission

If the camera does not open, go to iPhone Settings > Wallab > Camera and make sure camera access is

enabled.

2. Photo library permission

Wallab Support Page - Website Final Page 1 of 3If you cannot select an artwork image, go to iPhone Settings > Wallab > Photos and allow access to selected

photos or to your photo library.

3. Use better lighting

Wallab works best with good lighting. If the wall is too dark, very smooth, or lacks visual texture, the optical

scanner may need more time or may ask you to use a simplified scan mode.

4. Move slowly during calibration

Move the iPhone slowly when marking points, scanning the wall, checking angle, and approaching the wall. Fast

movement can reduce AR tracking quality.

5. Keep the wall visible

During calibration, keep the marked wall area inside the camera view as much as possible. Avoid pointing the

camera away from the wall during the scan.

6. LiDAR and non-LiDAR devices

Wallab can work with LiDAR on supported iPhone Pro models and with optical scanning on compatible

non-LiDAR iPhones. LiDAR may improve surface reading, but good lighting and stable camera tracking are still

important.

7. If the scan does not complete

If detailed scanning cannot complete, Wallab may show a message explaining that the wall or lighting conditions

are not ideal. You can try detailed scanning again, improve the lighting, move more slowly, or use simplified

mode with reduced precision.

8. Restart the app

If the camera freezes or AR tracking behaves unexpectedly, close Wallab completely and open it again. Then

start a new project.

Best Use Conditions

- Use a well-lit environment.

- Prefer walls with some visible texture or surface detail.

- Avoid reflective glass, mirrors, and very glossy surfaces.

- Hold the iPhone steady during stability confirmation.

- Approach the wall slowly when the App asks for real approach calibration.

- For the best experience, use a recent iPhone. LiDAR-capable iPhone Pro models may provide stronger surface

information.
